Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Fiona Barry Healthcare Clinic (“we”) is the data controller for the information you give us through this website. You can contact us at fiona@fionabarry.ie. Our website and enquiry system are operated on our behalf by ConvertIQ, acting as our data processor.
What we collect and why
When you send a message through our contact form we collect the details you enter, typically your name, your phone and/or email, and your message. We use these solely to reply to you and deal with your enquiry. If any message you send includes health information, we treat it with particular care and keep it confidential. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send it to you, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter.
Lawful basis
We handle enquiry details on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you and taking steps to help with what you asked about. Newsletter emails are sent on a consent basis.
Booking
Appointments are booked through Jane, our online booking provider, on its own secure pages and under Jane’s own privacy terms. Any details you enter there are handled by Jane, not by this website.
Newsletter
Our newsletter is run through Mailchimp. If you sign up, your email address is stored with Mailchimp for that purpose, under their terms.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the pages, which sets cookies in your browser. We ask for your consent first: when you arrive, a banner lets you accept or decline, and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept. We use it only to improve the site, not to identify you personally. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser, and the site works fine either way.
Who we share it with
Your details are handled by us, by ConvertIQ (our website and enquiry processor), by the email service that delivers contact-form messages, by Mailchimp (our newsletter), by Google (analytics), and by Jane (booking). We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our own records [TO CONFIRM - retention period], then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Just email us at fiona@fionabarry.ie. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
